Configuring Late Fees

Late fees encourage timely payment and are configured per facility.

Setup

1. Go to Facilities and select your facility
2. Click Edit and scroll to Billing Settings
3. Configure:
   • Late Fee Type — Flat amount or percentage of rent
   • Late Fee Amount — Dollar amount or percentage
   • Grace Period — Number of days after due date before the fee is applied

How Late Fees Are Applied

• When a payment is not received by the due date plus the grace period, StorageFlow automatically applies the late fee to the tenant's balance
• The tenant receives a notification about the late fee
• Late fees appear as separate line items in the billing history

Overlock Policy

You can also configure an overlock period. After a tenant is delinquent for the specified number of days, their unit is flagged for overlocking. Staff receives a notification to physically lock the unit.
